Keeping our desert waterways clean starts with you. Every year, during the
monsoon season, it is easy for stormwater runoff to pick up pollutants, such
as grease, fertilizer, pesticide and trash, along the way and to deposit the
contaminants in our fragile desert washes.

Houghton Road Corridor Study
The study team formulated and analyzed several alternatives for future
improvements to the roadway, created an access control plan and ultimately
decided on one recommended corridor configuration. The final
recommendations were presented at the July 2004 public meetings and are

Live Breathe Clean Air
Pima Association of Governments is promoting Live Breathe Clean Air as
part of a regional message to encourage residents and visitors to take steps
to keep our air clean and to bring awareness toward maintaining healthy
ozone levels.

RTA Main Street Program
MainStreet is a small business assistance program funded by the Regional
Transportation Authority. Funding for the program was approved as part of
the RTA plan on May 16, 2006.

Pima Association of Governments Census Information
In early 2009, Pima Association of Governments completed the local
Participant Statistical Areas Program (PSAP) on behalf of member agencies.
This effort involved calculating population estimates for existing census
tracts and block groups, reviewing the geography with respect to existing
neighborhood boundaries, and splitting or merging the areas to meet specific
criteria for Census 2010 geographic areas.
